So many projects start exactly like this one: there is a small and intimate manufacturing opportunity somewhere in the world, some creative agency decides to take focus on it and invites a collective of designers from around the globe to work on it.
Under the title, The imaginary factory, Afroditi was invited to design products made from wicker by the blindenanstalt von berlin / institute for the blind in Berlin, Germany. A Vespa fan and rider herself, she revives the classic 1950s Vespa wicker picnic basket into a helmet box. A traditional craft deals with a very modern problem.
